Hi Vibe (AKA Glenn Harrold): “All Of My Heart” Works Well Musically, Lyrically and Thematically!

Glenn Harrold is a song-writer, best-selling author and highly renowned hypnotherapist in the UK. He has made various appearances on the BBC , been featured in many magazines and most importantly, has sold over 4 million hypnosis CDs, MP3 downloads and Apps.

However, before becoming a hypnotherapist Glenn made a living as a musician playing in pubs, clubs and restaurants; a passion he hasn’t lost along the way, and has continued to write many songs over the years, some of which have been published and have also won prizes in major song writing competitions. Glenn’s songs range from acoustic ballads to big dance re-mixes.

A prime example is the adult contemporary ballad, All Of My Heart, released a few months ago. And Like a fine wine that gets better with age, so too does the music of Glenn Harrold aka High Vibe…considering this was originally written in 1992!

But obviously no-one can explain the song’s composition and its evolution through the years better than the songwriter himself, so Glenn explains: “All Of My Heart came to life one afternoon in the summer of 1992. I was living in a small house on my own, I was flat broke and in quite a lonely space. I had fallen in love with Aly but it looked for a while like we may not get together. I was also missing my son who was five at the time and lived quite a distance from me.

So from that insecure and uncertain place I sat on my settee with my acoustic guitar and the words and melody of this song came to me. When I’d finished it I sang it to Aly and dedicated it to her. She sang the first version of it back in 1992, but it remained tucked away in my music files on my computer until 2013 when I brought it to life with the help of a session team in the USA. The guy singing this version is called Brian and that is all I know of him. He captured the melody and sentiment of the song so beautifully; I felt I had to release it.”
