Magnetie is a musician, DJ and producer who has been studying music and piano since she was six, DJing since she was fourteen, while growing up on Latin rhythms. She’s released over 20 original high caliber tracks, including “Daydreaming 24-7”, “Guitarra Loca”, “5 Pisco Sours” and “March Of The Insomniacs”. The creation of her own record label Insomnified, is an extension of the Magnetie brand and sound.

Every artist, DJ or music producer’s sound changes from album to album or even track to track. Though Trap in nature, “Sexting” is kind of dubby; it has a lot of low end, hard hitting bass with lots of atmospheric synth sounds, pianos and melodies layered throughout. It all feels so modern and progressive, yet deep, mystical and tribal at the same time. Magnetie is certainly one of the most innovative electronic artists I have listened to recently.

The hard thing to do is put expression and emotion into your music when producing electronic music. Magnetie shows you that it is possible. The low-end synth sounds are gritty and textured and each track is layered with interesting rhythms and effects as she intensely builds-up then breaks down the atmosphere, only to rebuild it again.
