Music P: “Raining” – Deep House that has immediate beauty, gravity and an easily recognizable melody

Music P aka Heiko “P” Reiger is a producer, songwriter, DJ/MC, singer and rapper. “P” The 29 year old half-German, half-Hungarian has worked together with countless musicians and managed, among other things to break into the German Single Charts, perform on international stages (Brazil, Turkey, Spain, France, and many more) as well as work in major recording studios. In the early stages of his career as musician, P opened concerts for quite a few big German artists like Ich & Ich, Christina Stürmer and Samy Deluxe.

A few months ago Music P dropped his Deep House track “Raining”. P knows how to create music that sounds familiar, but at the same time it is unique in a new way that we can’t get the track out of our mind. And again here he has created an ambience that branches away from the traditional EDM sound that we have been hearing lately.

Though having all the popular elements of EDM, Music P avoids letting “Raining” succumb to the generic, bland and wholly uninspiring sound that so many popular releases have these days. The combination of both technical expertise and great songcraft really makes you take notice of this piece of work.

The track mastered by Gregor Zemljic and released through Houselicious Records apparently found its inspiration ‘on a grey rainy day,’ but it is really adaptable to any mood and climate. Music P’s personal interpretation of Deep House on “Raining”, is music that has immediate beauty, gravity, and an easily recognizable melody.

Music P’s growth as an artist with his many brilliant classic remixes like “Genesis – Land Of Confusion” , “Crystal Waters – Gypsy Woman” or “Mary J Blige – When You’re Gone”, to his original genre defining mixes, “Can’t Go On” and “Deep”, knows that this man completely comprehends what drives the EDM genres. And instead of falling victim to following the conventions of the genre, like his many contemporaries, Music P forges his own path through the jungle of possibilities. The result is “Raining” a soothing, mellow but driving and inventive electronic music track.

While many DJ’s, turned Producers, have sold their souls to the devil, Music P has proven time and time again that he continues to be a true pioneer of his craft.
