International singer, songwriter, and poet Kenny Fame has dropped his latest alternative rock track ‘Oh What A Night’. Who knows what really goes on in Kenny’s mind? In this, he calls on all of his eclectic talents and the result is an understated crossover extravaganza, with the usual slick production and smooth mixing that makes him a phenomenal musical chameleon. Do not wait or walk to get this track, run and get it.
Fans will immediately be hooked by its infectious rhythm and melody, also which features some hypnotic electric guitar lines. I have heard almost everything Kenny Fame thus far, and this does not disappoint in any way, on the contrary it may rank as one of his best releases alongside the ‘Soul of a Man (Volume One)’ EP.
I’ve really noticed more than anything on this track that Kenny’s voice sounds better than I’ve ever heard him sound. Built on a mid-tempo alternative rock backbone, Kenny’s low-key, irascible vocal style, suits the mood of the track to perfection.
The song, which is jamming in its own right, just proves to me Kenny Fame deserves his seat at the table with the best indie songwriters in the room. His words bring humility as well and offering us advice as to the complexity of the human being.
The music is outstanding without being overwhelming, and every verse of the song will move you in some sort of way. It has elements of newness, but the whole thing is infused with old school charm and classic beauty.
Kenny Fame is one of a scant few who’ve emerged on his own and has been striving for musical eloquence in his approach to the many genres he covers. Kenny finds his sound for himself by largely dipping into the often under-explored well of past legends.
Inspired by the best of old school while progressing into something new, this is the most exciting, refreshing, and genuine sounding recording from Kenny Fame I’ve heard in a while.
