Cáthia: “Unbreakable” is Eclectic, Refined, Upbeat and Smooth !

Caelum Music Production’s Dante Lattanzi has just finished co-writing, mixing, mastering, and producing the new 5-song Ep titled “Unbreakable” for NBC’s The Voice Top16 Finalist, Cáthia. Known as the “little girl with a big voice” Cáthia, a singer-songwriter and musician, is a graduate from LaGuardia Performing Arts HS. She has performed around NYC, including Carnegie Hall, and the renowned Apollo Theater and has won many music awards and scholarships, including a Young Arts Award for Vocal Performance.

Despite her prodigious talents, in many ways Cáthia is still the local girl from the Bronx – connecting through social media, shopping with a “boho chic” fashion sensibility, hanging out with friends, and doting on a pair of cats. Born in the borough, Cáthia’s cultural roots extend to her family’s ancestral home in El Salvador, where her parents traveled from in order to provide their children with a better life.

Cáthia has chosen to debut as an independent artist, raising funds through crowd sourcing. And now she steps out into the spotlight with her Ep, “Unbreakable” and straight off there is something here for everyone. There are ballads, Latin, Dance, Pop and even touches of Reggae and R&B. Cáthia shines on the up-tempo tracks, Unbreakable and Without You but she can also belt out the ballads, showing true emotion in songs like Solo tu and Catchy Feelings.

Together with Lattanzi, Cáthia has created the type of material that makes any album hot!

In essence, this Ep has true hit potential, added to the fact that Cáthia’s got a great pop voice, and, of course, a diva presence to match. One of course that she never relies on, preferring to let her voice and music pervade the forefront of her artistic ambitions.

On first listen, I felt as if I could really, really like this Ep. But the more I listened to it, the more I totally loved it! The slow songs are passionate; the fast songs are great for dancing or working out, while all the way through her delivery is mature and experienced.

In my opinion Cáthia is a very talented young woman who can sing with a caliber only reached by greats in the music industry. I enjoyed listening to all of the songs, and I feel that her singing voice is just as beautiful as she is, blending tones and phrasing that sit comfortably somewhere between Mariah Carey and Gloria Estefan.

“Unbreakable” is eclectic, refined, upbeat and smooth, while the musical arrangements, instrumentation and production by Dante Lattanzi is nothing short of magical.

All in all, a melodic and sonic treat for any pop music lover!
