RealTalk Featuring Curt Flo and Taiyou: “CURSES” – dedicated to spreading truths!

RealTalk is a Phoenix, AZ based artist who records out of Studio Flo Music based in Mesa, AZ. “CURSES” is the first full album released dedicated to spreading truths. He recently rhymed on the song ‘Q.O.D’ from Studio Flo Music CEO Curt Flo and Taiyou’s album ‘Monsoon Season’ which was released in September 2016 and is available for purchase on iTunes. RealTalk’s dedication is purely to telling the African American reality through personal and anecdotal experiences without the censorship of a major record label. RealTalk is appreciative for the opportunity to work with Curt Flo and Taiyou as well as the hard work they put into the album while managing a studio.

CURSES” is the first full album released dedicated to spreading truths. RealTalk has produced an excellent 21st-century record that balances political powder kegs, audacious floss raps, complementary beats, and honest-to-god inspiration.

CURSES” has its overall theme awash with the disenfranchisement of African Americans. Its history, issues and what continues to happen in order to keep the status quo. RealTalk puts racism and inequality directly into the listener’s ear. He defines it in different ways and perspectives. If you really take his lyrics to heart, you may learn something.

On “Curses”, he steps up to the plate with a hunger, and a lyrical ferocity. He is in peak lyrical form, and in penning an unmitigated indictment of the conventions and regulations the U.S. clings to, he opens the gates for discourse not just in the black community, but for anyone listening.

Gliding atop a bass-heavy track with synths humming in the background, the flow is impeccable on “Cops In My Rear View” ft Curt Flo, Taiyou (Prod. by Synesthetic Nation), and the bars are full of reverence, while maintaining an objective look at the kind of atrocities man still commits on another man.

Nowhere, though, does RealTalk’s flow shine brighter than on “BloodLine” Ft. Curt Flo, Taiyou (Prod. by Synesthetic Nation). The gorgeous, mesmerizing beat twinkles over a slow drum loop, and RealTalk brings his quick, hard-hitting flow to the forefront. On “Preach” Ft. Curt Flo (Prod. by Beatstars.com) his delivery becomes slower and more meticulous, it’s clear he wants every word rapped to be heard.

“Keep It 100” Ft. Curt Flo (Prod. by 20dollarbeats.com) shows what is most important about this effort from RealTalk, as just like Nas in the day, his mind, soul, and wit is sharp. Luckily, for the world of music, RealTalk’s spirit is too strong to be stifled; he is, after all, one of the true rebels in the genre.

RealTalk presents not just a hunger, but a very aggressively displayed commentary on the black identity in the historical, cultural and modern context, and from multiple viewpoints. Check out his 360° vision on “Belly Of The Beast” Ft. Curt Flo, Taiyou (Prod. by Beatstars.com).

His message is effective and will leave you thinking. And needless to say, the lyrical skill that you’d expect great rap recording is here in full force. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this album. RealTalk brings it lyrically on every track. The production is top notch and the flow is immaculate too.

And when RealTalk is not digging deep into the socio-political Afro-American fabric, he is engaged in deeply emotional content such as “One Love” Ft. Curt Flo (Prod. by Beatstars.com), one of my favorite tracks on the album. All round though, hardly will you find another album that is so entertaining, intellectual, and raw.

RealTalk is making music from the depths, mining the bottom to pull up the filth and shed the light of day on it. But Regardless of what this record is about, and how you relate to its gut-wrenching content, this is some seriously vibrant hip-hop. Its RealTalk doing what he does best: not giving a fuck and spitting fire!
