Joey B is a hip-hop artist from North Chelmsford, MA. He is a solo artists as well as a member of Masstapeace and has recently been recruited to join Kxng Crooked & Horseshoe Gangs “Circle of Bosses” COB. Joey has built up quite the international following this past year after touring with Shady Records’ Slaughterhouse member Kxng Crooked. Joey B has also announced an early 2017 release date for his sophomore album ‘Closure’ which will feature Kxng Crooked, Joe Budden, Slaine, & Trev Rich, as well as production from the likes of C-Lance, Mikey Bingo, Blessed By The Beats.
In the meantime Joey B has dropped the single “I’m So Fly”, a fresh new lyrical creation flowed over a funky Timbaland soundscape, initially brought to the fore by Lloyd Banks. Joey B a legitimate solo rap artist, a great microphone controller with an enormous orbital pull towards his charisma.
He definitely drops the heat on this track. His hooks are great and his lyrics and punchlines are clever as hell as he showcases his grind and dealing with haters:
“They gonna say you that you odd / cause you chasing what you want
But Do exactly what you do / And ya dreams
Will come true / Me I’m living proof
They told me / Go get a job / I told em I’m doin mine”
Joey B captures everything in his life and makes you see it as you hear the words spat into the mic. What makes him stay on top of his game is that he uses all the resources at his fingertips. He brings smooth, creative lyrics and some of the sweetest beats to the table.
You may call him underground, but he has a strong mainstream appeal running through his songs. He raps in a raspy tone that can range from a laidback flow to a fast and more aggressive one, which it makes him instantly recognizable.
Running through his “#16Weeks16Remixes16FreeDownloads” set, it’s clear that his rhymes and his style are one of a kind and priceless. There are so many good songs on this you wouldn’t know where to start. Every track is catchy and extremely listenable.
Joey B shows the world that he has one of the best flows in the rap industry right now. I have the feeling that it won’t be long before Joey B drops something revolutionary and jaw-dropping, as this reworked and remixed track is a very complete, effective, and well-produced single from a definite talent. It uncovers all of his potential.
