I enjoyed Unnilhexium’s previous album “Cosmic Retrospections” and was excited to hear about the release of his latest single entitled “Out Of Sky”, and let me say that this is an incredibly gorgeous follow-up and in fact, may even better. “Out Of Sky” is a lot similar to the previous album in general, but appears to be brighter, sunnier and more upbeat.
Invigorating and inspiring, this single still incorporates the pensive, meditative, and reflective moods of Unnilhexium’s previous works. If, like me, you loved “Cosmic Retrospections” infectious combination of synthesizer, piano tones, female vocal shrills and frenetic percussion, you’ll not be disappointed with “Out Of Sky”.
Unnilhexium does however, branches out into more melodic territory on this, with beautiful vocal chants set off against his usual high-energy beats, flowing synthesizer sounds, and string arrangements. I’m still in doubt as to whether the vocals belong to the Vocaloid software range or not, but either way, they come across as ethereal and fairytale-like; adding that magical touch to an already entrancing electronic orchestration.
The song opens with breathy flute samples, while the beat has a more sensuous if not primal urgency to it, featuring the excellent use of choral voicings with lush synths. “Out Of Sky” amply displays Unnilhexium’s strong blend of sound sampling, bubbly beats, expert layering of assorted keyboards and chill-out/electronica effects, as well as a production that is flawless in every respect.

The music is always upbeat, even when it takes a time out to contemplate. It is inspirational in feel, and like all Unnilhexium compositions, it is worth taking the time to appreciate. In general Unnilhexium’s tracks can either be a focal point, or a soundscape for your personal space. “Out Of Sky” is no exception to the rule. It conveys an abundant sense of happiness and an upbeat tempo, capturing the essence of what seems to be a search for the celebration of life and light, beyond darkness; a fresh break from the dour and negative themes often perpetuated by the pop music of our era.
In conclusion, with his latest release, Unnilhexium continues the theme of searching, uplifting melodies with sonic waves that resemble oceans of sound emanating through the stillness of an unblemished universe. His use of unusual voiceovers further transports the listener to an entirely new dimension.
If you enjoy the New Age and Electronic genres, then you will fall in love with “Out Of Sky” by Unnilhexium. It easily summons its listener to a faraway magical retreat where the hustle and bustle of everyday life disappears in favor of an unending onslaught of suggestive and mood-inducing delights.
