Good music, strong, empowering lyrics, feel good vibes – these are all components of the newly released single by artist Monet Esbee. The single, Gone 2.0, is a remake of another song released by Monet several years earlier, Tabanca, a sound that was ahead of its time. With new vocals, instrumentation and mixes, Gone 2.0 is getting a whole new life coupled with a new audience.
From the Bahamas originally, Monet has been writing songs for more than 10 years, putting pen to paper for various indie artists in the US as well as other parts of the world. Some of her most recent work involved new collaborations with the super talented, multi-genre producer, SYNTHETIKREAL.
Together, Monet has been featured on two (2) of his releases alongside other artists from around the world. Give It To Me – a Pop/Reggae fusion, features Monet Esbee & Yael (from Jamaica), Vaya Con Dios, is a Caribbaeton record (mix of Caribbean music/Reggae and Reggaeton) featuring Monet & Matias (from Colombia).
Monet and SYNTHETIKREAL (SR) have been working together on music since 2018, in addition to her features, the producer created the remake – Gone 2.0. SR has also created several of the songs on Monet’s upcoming project, an EP called It’s All About M.E. scheduled to be released mid-July 2020. The EP features an eclectic mix of sounds, something both Monet and SR are known for – fusing together different genres to make an epic song.
In true Monet form, the songs all encompass the subject of female empowerment, with songs that make you dance, make you feel/reflect and stick with you long after the music ends. The project will be released on all major, global digital outlets.
