One thing this El Jefe does not do is try to be intellectual. In strong contrast to recent releases delivering sociopolitical messages, he just wants you to have a good time. The content is just right. It’s not to be taken too seriously; although, it maintains a hard edge that wedges between what is commercially comfortable and street sound.
If you are familiar with the style of El Jefe from his other tracks, then you know exactly what to expect on “Jet Fuel”. The great thing about El Jefe and “Jet Fuel” in general, is that the song is catchy while the sound and the style is on fire . The beat is great, but on top of just liking the sound if you actually listen to the song you’ll love it more. The wordplay is amusing and clever, and says something about how El Jefe sees the world. I loved this track and its fun, unique and entertaining style. I’m looking forward to hearing the upcoming album.
