Voss Soss’ career is heating up significantly, and I’ve no doubt that him reaching the proverbial mountain top, with one of his new and best releases, entitled “Heart Attack”. It’s with great angst, emotion and raw fervor that he delivers his lines on this Trap induced track. It’s almost as if he’s finally letting go of all his feelings behind his trials and tribulations through the verses. Voss’ wondrous skill vaults him into the spotlight, remaining intact through the brevity of the arrangement, as he technically rips the beat to shreds with his growling delivery.
Taking a calculated risk that fans will appreciate, Voss Soss makes sure to include plenty of doomsday, as well as cop and gangster conspiracy theories interwoven in his commentary. It feels so much like Voss has made the choice to make this music without concern of what people are expecting from him.
He just crafts his art completely from his own musings and interests and to just be in a creative space where he doesn’t have to worry about explaining his production, what he is talking about, or whatever is on his mind. He just lets it all hang out naturally.
The melody is distinct, opting for eccentric synths and peculiar pianos that fabricate feelings of outer body experiences. It’s a compelling concept for the song that comes together poetically. “Heart Attack” is brief, but an incredible expression of the Voss Soss mindset. And the level of creativity majestically evokes that mindset through his music while remaining accessible to listeners, elevating his performance artistry to new heights.
“Heart Attack” is an enhanced accumulation of the best aspects of Voss Soss past projects including his accented flow, beat selection, word association, and rapping ability.
