Popular music nowadays is lousy. Plain and simple. However, in the midst of the sub-par sounds the radio administers, and somewhere under the radar you will find a hidden gem just waiting to shine. Such is the case with Georgina Revell, a 22 year old singer from Brighton, UK, who has just completed her debut single entitled “Grounded”, produced by NASH.
This is a must play for the true music lovers and those who seek emotional connections through music. Georgina explains that the song “is about the feeling of being held back by someone while trying to make it.”
Filled with rolling pianos and sweeping strings, she swoops, weaves and soars her soulfully melodic voice through the epic-sounding arrangement with a surefootedness of a veteran in the music business. It is really hard to believe this is her first project.
You can really hear the passion and fire in her vocal delivery. Georgina’s voice has just the right amount of acuteness to pierce your soul, and the perfect dose of raspiness to melt your heart. Add to the fact that she’s a delight to the eye too, and you have the perfect package just waiting to be delivered.
I believe that Georgina Revell as an outstanding performer (and my suspicions were totally confirmed by watching all her enthralling Cover song videos on YouTube). Her passion and charisma is what separates her from the pack. She gives it all in every song and it shows.
There’s a maturity and a sound in her voice that is all her own, and there’s something very personal and deep in the lyrics and the emotion she packs into “Grounded” that is thoroughly endearing to any musical ear.
It doesn’t matter if you like Pop, Rap or Rock music, because very much like the megastar Adele, Georgina’s voice transcends genres. She sounds elegantly classic and edgily urban all at once, and NASH’s all-embracing production fits her like a glove. Georgina Revell’s talent is intoxicating to the senses, and there is no doubt in my mind that this lady will be leaving a lasting impression!
