Anthony Nelson & The Overcomers have Yahweh worship running through their veins. The award-winning collective, known for their high energy performances, have picked up a number of Billboard hits along the way, and are set to continue their successful run with a brand new single, entitled “Jealous”. The track, inspired by “an authentic desire to be in greater relationship with Christ,” dropped on the 1st of March and will feature on the group’s upcoming EP, “Inhabit”, set for release on July 26. You love this track because of its ability to create that true worship experience. It will put you in the mindset of John 4:23 “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” This is a good song for the encouragement of those who are not yet saved or worshipping God.
“Jealous” acknowledges the different hardships and pain people may go through in life and many false hopes and idols many may entrust themselves for salvation. However it encourages you to seek a better way via a personal relationship with God.
This is a reassurance that God is powerful, and will be there for you. He is the father of fathers, the king of kings. When we keep looking for that something missing in our lives and we need a reminder that we have it all in Him, you can close your eyes to this song and get in tune with God.
Once again, this is anointed music ministry; powerful worship music; I really can’t say enough about this project and Anthony Nelson & The Overcomers, who just keep outdoing themselves on each subsequent release. The song in itself is powerful, while the feel captured in the recording magnifies the significance of the lyrics and the intentionality of the music.
Driven by lusciously layered instrumentation, the light simplicity of the arrangement, the outstanding lead vocals, and rich backing harmonies, allows for more focus on the lyrics which contains a powerful message of conquering your fears and connecting with God.
It seems like the voices and musicality are meant for any type of audience as the passion and authenticity comes through in way that defeats genre restrictions. The whole track is filled with joy. It is a beautiful reminder of the hope we have in any circumstance, even when darkness appears to prevail.
The acclaimed recording artist Anthony Nelson & The Overcomers remain a potent voice in the Gospel and Worship universe, opening the doors and welcoming listeners to take an inspiring journey together in discovering God’s powerful love and great gifts on “Jealous”. Stunningly brilliant voice and sound, with deep personal truths and testimonies – this is great music that throws you into the face of The Father.
