Raphaela Mangan is a mezzo-soprano who has received a First Class Honours Degree from the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin and a Post Graduate Distinction from the Flanders Opera Studio in Belgium. She has performed in various opera roles across the UK and Europe, including in Ireland with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and the Irish Baroque Orchestra. Raphaela has also performed in concert at the Usher and McEwan Halls in Edinburgh and the Linbury Theatre in London. In addition to her opera performances, she has sung with choral societies in Ireland and Britain, including in productions of Verdi’s Requiem, Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, and Handel’s Messiah.

It became popular when Édith Piaf released a recording of the song in 1960, which reached the top of the French Singles & Airplay Reviews chart for seven weeks. The song title translates to “No, I do not regret anything”.
