In his career Junior Turner has worked with some of the world’s finest musicians and producers for who he is held in high regard. Including Neil Taylor an English rock and pop guitarist, best known for his long-time affiliation with Robbie Williams and for formerly being a member of the backing band of Tears for Fears.
Since 2010 Turner has been delivering a string of indie hits around the globe crossing over styles and genres. In 2014 Junior decided to go back to his strongest asset, his voice, with his first release a power ballad that again could easily be related to, with ‘Save Me’. Again it rocketed to number 1 in several USA state charts and was about to take Junior to the next step.
In April this year, Junior picked up ‘Best Pop Song’ at the indie musician prestigious awards ceremony for ‘The Indie Music Channel’. This was seen and recognized by a lot of fellow professionals and music personnel around the globe as a huge achievement which may just open the next door to the next chapter in his career.
And as usual, Junior Turner’s undeniable talent and impeccable proficiency, keeps pushing him further up the ladder! As he is back, just a couple of months since his last release, with his latest track, “Different Worlds”, which will be officially released on Friday 31st October 2014.
It’s not that Junior Turner is set to become a great pop star that really matters, he seems to be maturing into something more, a great artist and musician. For someone like me, who has always liked his music, this is no surprise.
“Different Worlds” is a unique single from a unique artist. Like most of Turner’s songs, this is both timeless and deeply meaningful. I cannot think of any other young male artist, performing Adult Contemporary music, who combines beauty and truth so profoundly, and does so with such natural ability. The quality of Turner’s voice has no peers.
Junior Turner has a magnificent gift of writing lyrics that talk straight to the heart, in particular on this love-angst, medium-tempo ballad, which is a beautifully constructed and orchestrated piece of sophisticated pop art.
Deep, smooth, and fresh from top to bottom, masterfully done, is a pretty good description of the quality of “Different Worlds”; plain and simple, if you like great music and hearing a splendid voice GET IT!
