Jean-luc Kaberuka was born and raised in Kigali Rwanda. From a young age, music was his passion. As a singer, songwriter and producer, Jean-luc has created a range of songs like “Breathe”, “Deep” and “Make you love me”. With a wide range of inspirations ranging from R. Kelly, Bob Marley, Alpha Blondy, Joe, Youssou N’Dour, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Seal and more, it is clear that he is truly a student of the game.
It is just something about Jean-luc. He makes fantastic R&B music with an Afro flavor that you can really feel. The notes and words that he uses are very smooth and make his words flow, and should put everyone in a grooved relaxed mood.
Jean-luc uses good projection in his song “Deep”, as well as great emotion, because he knows how to stress different words in his songs and where to put the focus. Not too many brothas in the R&B scene can hold it down with so much soul, so much talent, and make it sound so easy as Jean-luc does here on this track.
The man really put it down on this track without stepping out of his comfort zone. His lyrics are so captivating and his voice so rich you can’t help but to enjoy each and every line he drops from that daddy vibe his sending – “She be like Daddy Go…..”
If you haven’t had the pleasure of riding, grinding, or just chilling with this sultan of the soul, then you are doing yourself a great disservice.
This track is guaranteed to soothe the spirit and move the body. Jean-luc combined the lush musical arrangement courtesy of P-washington with his sultry lyrics and smooth melody, while his silky, sexy tones melt with every note. Jean-luc Kaberuka proves to be a superb singer, songwriter and co-producer on this track too.
“Deep” is an example of how versatile music can be over and above being smooth, soulful and filling. This track is one you can ride out to, or just chill at home with the lights down low and candles lit, because it has both, a mellow swing and an underlying groove, just ready to unleash itself as soon as you touch the volume dial!
