Dropic Thunder is made up of Max and Dave, two uniquely fascinating Austrian producers from Innsbruck who are simply following their dreams. They produce and mix a wide range of electronic music, ranging from House, Progressive House, Trance, Dubstep, Electro and what they term as Dropicthunderstyle.
Running through their Soundcloud mixes you come across 22 energy tracks that cover the board. Dropic Thunder really ramp up with stand out, banging tracks. The mixes come out relentlessly hard hitting, giving you no break in the middle, and then eventually totally knocking you out in the end. Pretty much every track is off the hook.
This is definitely one of the better EDM collections I’ve heard in a while. In this genre you typically find club singles, remix albums, or EPs with 5 or 6 tracks. Dropic Thunder has put together an excellent feel good house / electro collection that is very well produced and includes some quality string and synth sounds. Their songs are also easy to listen to from start to finish and that’s a quality that really solidifies any release for me.
The mix of tasty electronic beats with catchy melodies and beautiful sound effects will grab and lift you up. It’s like all the best elements of Pop, EDM and the summer sun mixed together. It’s a positive sound that will energize you to your depths. There are some turns, breakdowns and build-ups in the music, where you will just smile at how amazing it sounds and how perfectly the music grooves.

On their tracks, Dropic Thunder find the perfect balance between house, electro and dubstep with a side dish of trance. Every single track is just so good, it will make you want to dance all day and every day. From standout tracks like “Yeah”, “Symphonica”, “Black Puma” and “Tonight” to “Mistakes” and a whole bunch of others, you’ll find it hard to keep still.
This is some of the best House music that I’ve ever heard. The mixing is seamless, and the beats are tight. The music makes for good listening and that’s what’s important. Whether you need an upbeat tempo while working out or you need a wake up playlist in the morning or even while driving, this collection could easily be your go-to songs.
From the start to the end, with this collection, Dropic Thunder produce a list of successful and variating mixes, with every musical aspect taken to the top. The songs all have deep bass-lines which I personally love. I’ll sum it up by saying they’ve combined a whole bunch of genres and styles for an eclectic mix of great dance music.
This collection of mixes by Dropic Thunder really grows on you. Once you hear the tracks then you’ll start understanding what they are trying to do after a few listens. Dropic Thunder also has impeccable timing. Their beats build until just the right moment then break into something new and perfectly complementary. Every track is excellent. They are absolute masters of their genre.
