2 Docks: “Radiowaves” will have you bouncing off the walls!

2 Docks is a band playing hard dance formed in Odessa in October 2013 by composer Maxim Gorovenko. The band consists of vocalist Liudmila Vasilieva (ex Rockberry), guitarist Vladimir Pavleshchiuk (ex Протуберанс, Dark day) and keyboardist Maxim Gorovenko (ex Rockberry, Design, Филиал любви, Город, Dreams in cage).

As you can gather from their instrumentation and line-up, 2 Docks comes out swinging, big, loud, obnoxious and addictive. When they say hard dance band, they mean HARD dance band! While 2 Docks are superbly slick, they represents a raw, oozing open wound of gritty, cathartic pieces that coalesce into a consistent theme of heavy artillery and dancefloor war.

2 Docks craft the world’s most exciting, adrenaline-injected music which you can find on “Radiowaves” over at Beatport. They have a sound which is similar to mix of industrial, techno and electro. I even found traces of trance on the title track. At the very least, their music is fun, loud, catchy and different!

This is intended for the dance floor, but completely transcends the genre. If you feel the need to pump up the stereo with something that is fast-paced and energetic that has crunching guitar riffs and a funky vocal track, reach out for “Rain” and see how long it takes before you start nodding your head.

On the other hand if you’re a metal-head and love those screeching, shredded guitar solos over a driven beat and lusty female vocal, you don’t want to miss “Wantonness”, 130bpm of pure dance rock energy. This is my favorite track too!

2 Docks’ music portrays several soundscapes of electronica wrapped with hard rock and melodic vocal lines. “Radiowaves” shows just how talented 2 Docks can really be. It is a complete representation of the mind, body, and soul that can hardly be found in Electronic music alone. 2 Docks will have you bouncing off the walls. However, despite the harsh underground, hardcore feel of the recordings, there lies a deep beauty in it, especially in the “Radiowaves” track.

The hard rock and heavy guitars of Vladimir Pavleshchiuk bring out the energy in these tracks, while the keyboards of Maxim Gorovenko add the purer electro and techno sounds. Vocalist Liudmila Vasilieva adds the catchy and melodic cherry on top of it all. If you are looking for hardnosed attitude and slamming beats, you can hum along to, there’s no question you should look into 2 Docks.

“Rainwaves” is everything a great hard dance record should be, loaded with huge, thundering beats, gritty guitars, superb studio production, and tons of fiery energy. It requires something special to make a mark in the often confusing, super-categorized world of dance music. 2 Docks makes their mark, and raise the bar!
