Charlotte NC rapper, Rari, describes his latest project, the 10-track album, “Financial Finesse”, as a collection of songs that “will teach you the importance of hood economics and show you certain people’s true colors.”
Rari shines in that he unabashedly expresses his ideas and emotions with clever, well-thought lyrics, metaphors, and rhymes. You do not need any context to understand and enjoy this album. The production of each song is layered with content, heart and perspective.
Rari seems to know exactly what he is doing and where he is going with his career. His thought processes and perception of things are interesting, and best of all, you can play “Financial Finesse” through with no skips, which is hard to find nowadays. This album speaks for itself.
With a masterful use of language and a great display of storytelling, Rari proves that hip hop isn’t completely dead. Rari’s motto is simply: “He who has the money, holds the power”.
