Pllus is a Jamaican born dancehall reggae artist known for his catchy melodies and clever phrases. Pllus has always been in love with music and started singing in church at the age of 8. At the age of 13 he moved Canada and started to be influenced by hip-hop and R&B, and this is where his style truly was developed.
Battle rapping with his peers helped him develop his word play and adding in a little bit of singing always put him over the top. Fast forward to present day Pllus’ musical style is known in Jamaica as Singjaying. It’s the fusion of Singing and Deejaying (rapping) that has occurred all throughout the history of Reggae music.
From artists like Big Youth, Little John and Pinchers all the way to present-day artists like Mavado and Popcaan just to name a few. Where Pllus really comes alive is on stage, he prides himself on making his stage performances sound like the music he makes in the studio. Pllus is on radio rotation with the track “More Rumors”.
