Gabby Barrett is flat out awesome!

At only 14, Gabby impresses with her fiery passion and vocal range.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review described Gabby Barrett as “A voice you must hear!” Gabby knows how to sing the classics from the 50’s made famous by names like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and the likes, but she also covers other eras like the 60’s from The Beatles, Motown and Stax artists, the 80’s, 90’s and today’s. She already has her own songs on iTunes and Amazon.com and is currently working in the studio for her upcoming album. She won the 2014 Kean Quest Talent Search after impressing judges with her rendition of “Mercy”. She has performed in front of 55.000 people at a stadium and she simply blew their mind.

Gabby Barrett has performed in front of crowds at Hard Rock Cafe, Light Up Night Pittsburgh, A.J. Palumbo Center, Pitt, Carlow, Cal U Colleges, Barnes & Noble, Daytona Bike Week, Daytona Speed Week, Hilton, Bad Boys, Lakewood Church, KDKA, Wounded Warriors, Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Overly’s Country Christmas, Seven Springs, Kennywood, St.Barnabas and Simon Malls, just to mention a few.

We caught with Gabby Barrett on iTunes where we listened to a string of singles, from “Self Control”, “My Girls”, “Out Of Time” and “How Great Thou Art” to “4 Leaf Clover”. Our mission was to see if the girl measured up to the hype.

As would be with any 14-year-old singer, she is still working to find her signature sound, as the tracks move between Electro-Pop, Country, Gospel and Dance. But right now her prerogative should be getting out, and across to her audiences, displaying all her talent. Suitable signature sounds and genres have all the time in the world to be discovered, explored and executed. And that is exactly the artistic road that Gabby has currently chosen, while she continues to develop her craft.

These are all astounding performances for a girl as young as Gabby. Awesome songs, that prove she is an incredible talent…and that she lives up to the hype! Her voice is pure and you can understand every word; while she is full of energy and positive attitude too, especially evident on “My Girls” and “Self Control”.

Not only does Gabby Barrett impress us with her fiery passion and vocal range in these songs, but she also displays a slightly softer and sweeter personality on “Out Of Time” and gives powerful meaning to her music with tracks like “How Great Thou Art”. She takes her craft seriously and makes it clear that she wants to evolve and move on to the next level.

Gabby Barrett is going to have a long career as she blossoms from teen-star to mature music artist. Currently she is just beginning to expose the roots of her talent that is waiting to fully explode. Into what? Only time will tell. In the meantime, believe the hype…Gabby Barrett is flat out awesome!
