Lunar Woods band is releasing their first full-length album, presenting atmospheric progressive sound with a strong influence of grunge, while dealing with life-defining issues.
This young and promising band from Izhevsk in Russia is delivering a unique vibe, combining the atmosphere of their native country with universal emotions delivered through grungy vocals.
The issues addressed in the new “Let’s get loud” album are shared by most of us these days: the feeling of being caged and trapped in someone else’s reality, wishing to get a glimpse of what is a real freedom is and how to fulfill it on an everyday level: is it the ability to smile whenever you feel like it? Is it the freedom to get loud whenever you want, to express all the range of emotions as they felt at the very moment?
The album “Let’s get loud” is exploring these dimensions of life through a minimalistic, yet atmosphere sound, created at the personal studio of Lunar Woods.
This became possible thanks to the joining of drummer Igor Ketov, also expanding their touring opportunity all around Russia and beyond. Other band members are Ilya Fokin (vocals, guitars and synths) and Aleksey Trefilov on bass\upright.
The trio is also paying a lot of attention to their visual appearances, including an upcoming video for the main name track of the album. The art cover of the album is hinting towards the future video-work, since it’s basically a frame from it.
The band doesn’t rest for a moment: right now they’re already working on their next LP, up for release in 2017. There’s a lot to look forward to, so it’s the right time to give a listen to the “Let’s get Loud” album on the band’s website: http://lunarwoods.com/lunar-woods-let-s-get-loud
