When I first heard 2TALLIN’s club hit “Do It” ft. Draft, it didn’t really occur to me just how filthy-gorgeous it was. I thought the descending synth patterns from what sounds like an amplified gnat made for a great earworm, especially against the thumping bassline, but the tightness of the clattering drum kits and hand claps escaped my not entirely perceptive erogenous zone. And then I saw the music video. Blame desensitization to the 4/4 house beats, I guess, but apparently it took curvy, scantily-clad, pumped-up gym ladies to literally hammer the track’s kinky edge into my consciousness.
On the basis of “Do It,” alone, 2TALLIN feels like one of EDM’s most swashbuckling defenders of instinctive coitus thoughts. Filled with pheromones, the track is a full-throttle tech-tinged club banger. But this comes as no surprise as 2TALLIN has been smashing dance floors with his insane tracks for a couple of years already!
The thing that stands out about this track is just the amount of energy it has. Once you hear it in your car, in a club, or indeed, doing the washing, it’ll be on non-stop repeat in your head for days.
This pulsating dance track just has it all. A deep bass, hypnotic lyrical refrain and a cracker hook. Add to that a camp and humorously sexy video filled with a lot of scantily clad girlies and you’ll get the tongue in cheek feel of this song along with the sass and sexual heat it creates. This is a cracker EDM tune which will raise you spirits (and other things when you watch the video, lol).
“Do It” ft. Draft is the kind of back-to-basics club rocker for EDM core fans. Full of perfectly timed build-ups, a head-banging beat, heavy drops and a catchy melody, the Fresno singer, songwriter and producer’s latest jam is, unsurprisingly, ready to become an instant club classic.
While the song honors 2TALLIN’s signature style, he has also figured out how to straddle this with the latest generation of techno-electro-house fans’ expectations and preferences: the beat and melody are so relevant they feel almost, but not quite, recognizable. Excellent!
