Lion Rezz: “Stuck In My Head” ft Raggadat Cris is an irresistible reggae jam tune!

Now living in Western Australia, Lion Rezz hails from his ancestral motherland of Aotearoa. Having a diverse musical upbringing Lion Rezz seamlessly blends his influences into what many have described as a unique vocal experience with a fusion of powerful reggae roots mixed with soulful harmonies and a touch of old school husk. A highly motivated solo artist and lead singer of Perth’s number one reggae band ‘Jahmoko,’ Lion Rezz is in the studio non -stop working on his debut album.

In the meantime Lion Rezz has dropped the single, entitledStuck In My Head” ft Raggadat Cris. The track is an irresistible jam tune that will get even shy wallflowers to bust a move or two. Lion Rezz contines pushes the musical boundaries of reggae while always having a rootsy riddim foundation.

Stuck In My Head” does enough to guarantee that Lion Rezz will retain a faithful audience, as well as expanding on that potential. His melodies are pleasant and convey an instinctive ability for songwriting. The playing and production skills are fine here as well, and it’s the uplifting lyrics that ultimately skyrocket this project.

The light and airy feel of the song is impressive, while it rides on a distinctive reggae rhythm. There’s not a weak link on this track. It’s the kind of standard you’d expect from the Lion Rezz brand, ably assisted by Raggadat Cris.

It’s refreshing to find a Reggae track that scratches the intended itch, you had in mind when you thought to put a Reggae cd on to begin with, yet it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle because Lion Rezz separates himself from the plethora of cookie cutter reggae musicians out there.

If you want something reggae, kind of like Bob Marley but not so cliché as just putting on Bob’s Greatest Hits and not as vanilla as picking another random reggae band just to hear steel drums, then you should give this a try.

I thought Stuck In My Head” ft Raggadat Cris was fresh and happy and I love it! It definitely brought me back to reggae as a fan. It is impossible to listen to this track and not instantly be in a better mood. All my friends and co-workers love it too. In fact I have not talked to one person I played this for, who didn’t like it. I will be looking out for more recordings by Lion Rezz for sure!
