A&L is a new act made up of two seasoned industry professionals: Anthony Casuccio and Lana Marie. Anthony is a 20 year music veteran whose production work has been nominated for three Grammy awards, been featured in major music publications and topped the music charts. Lana is an award winning vocalist who has been a long-time force on the East Coast music scene and voice to many jingles on radio and television.
With the overwhelming positive response from their debut release, A&L is back with a new tune. “Onto the Next Heart” is an upbeat, Pop/Rock song with catchy hooks and killer guitar riffs. The in-your-face vocal will have you singing along. With a vocal style that sounds like The Pretty Reckless meets Pat Benatar, Lana delivers a vocal performance that demands your attention. Legendary bass player Jerry Livingston joins A&L on this track.
“When I was composing this next song, I wanted to write from a woman’s perspective to represent Lana’s vocal personality. ‘Onto the Next Heart’ tells the story of an independent woman that does not want to be tied down with life, love and sex.” says Casuccio. Lana sells the story and makes it her own adventure through her raw vocal performance.
“We started off doing this for fun with no expectations with our first single ‘Get Me a Drink’, but we got such a huge response that we released our second song,” says Lana. “Our video is funny and kind of psychedelic. We are now working on our third song and hope to get that out end of the summer.”
“Onto the Next Heart” wins the day with an overwhelming guitar riffs and tenacious vocals which grab you. On the second hearing, you’ll be tapping your foot and trying to hum along. In other words, the song is pretty catchy and melodic. Though this is pure energy rock n’ roll, it is nuanced, sophisticated and massively elevated by a vibrant, ear-seducing mix.
In a wasteland of musical ingestion, Anthony Casuccio and Lana Marie have outdone themselves with this awesome release. “Onto the Next Heart” has Casuccio’s driving guitar work while Lana’s vocals send chills up the spine. The song is specifically arranged, performed and produced for heavy rotation in any music library!
