2k Boyz are on fire with “L.A.W.D”

The identical twin brothers Kay and Kai better known in music circles and by their fans as 2k Boyz are back! After dropping their 14-track mixtape “Open Up”, earlier this year, the brothers return even stronger with a new mixtape entitled “L.A.W.D”. They bring the heat with nice hot pumping flows over smooth bass-heavy beats. Kay and Kai also came hard on the lyrics backing each other up perfectly.

From the opening track, “Feeling High”, we find the boys in true top form. This album is one of their best works ever. They are so real in what they do. Too many rappers don’t put enough love into the game, looking rather to see how much they can get out of it. Kay and Kai, on the other hand, never disappoint because they truly love and enjoy their craft. And it shows through their music.

The production is amazing on most of the songs, and the lyrics are non-stop. Best of all, they complement each other like brownies and milk. It really shows on this album, as they put their heart into making every track as dope as possible. Their talents cannot be ignored, especially on songs like “You Got It”, “100k”, “Walk Up”, “Complicated” and “Shelter Love”; rap skills, charisma and creative deliveries are all there.

I think the 2k Boyz are a fine duo and they are eventually going to make it. It’s only a matter of time before they get onto the national radar. They always stay on track and never fall off that is what makes them so good, release after release. A lot people don’t realize how good they really are because Kay and Kai are still working on their promotion props, without any major labels behind them. But they have time on their side!

I was turned onto the 2k Boyz since their 2012 mixtape, “Status Unknown” and have been following them ever since. They simply shine without the bling bling. There is no doubt that with the release of “L.A.W.D”, Kay and Kai are intent on working their way to becoming the crown princes of the rap game.

Currently 2k Boyz are on fire. All of the tracks here are blazing. A definite winner for the mainstream market could easily be the track, “Complicated” with its tight beat and catchy vocal hooks. If you know what is good for your media player, you will grab this NOW!
