Keyon “Killa P” Purite was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ronald Purite, an African-American musician. In 2002, Killa P moved to Ann Arbor, Mi after the tragic death of his brother. Finding ways to cope, he began to study underground and industry rap music.
