Rick: Hi Helmuts. Could you please introduce yourself?
Helmuts: Hi Rick. Thank you – with pleasure. My name is Helmuts, my family and I live in the UK and I am the person who created LustJobs.com.
Rick: What’s the connection between JamSphere and Lust Jobs?
Helmuts: In all the music genre (pop music, heavy metal, EDM and others) when you look at a standard video clip – quite often you will see frames filled with pretty women dressed in bathing suits, bikinis, tight shorts or other. And that is one of the ways of how the world’s musicians have learned to lure us into the emotional world their art has created. The artists on JamSphere are given an opportunity to a free channel where they can get models for their video clips that support independent music.
Rick: Do you think that it is important to have naked or semi-naked women in independent music videos?
Helmuts: Yes, because sex sells and they want to penetrate the music market. For an independent musician the main source of the drive is the music. We all know that music these days is supported with videos and which offers a visual aspect as well. So if you want to get noticed – you have to write good music and also have to produce visuals that attract people. Look at any brand, any business and there is one similarity – sex sells. And Lust Jobs connects these people.
Rick: What exactly are Lust Jobs?
Helmuts: LustJobs.com offer job classifieds for the adult industry – and importantly a place where to find employers not clients. And I have to add – it is 100% free for all models, dancers, photographers, musicians and other professionals.
We all know that independent artists don’t have finances that are available for established music production companies or well established artists and Lust Jobs allows them to say: “This is what we are looking for. This is what we offer and this is how much we can pay for that.”
This is how you will get more exposure; enter the modelling world, and enhance the visuals for your music.
Rick: Do you think that it would be difficult for artists who have got almost no budget at all to find free models, or free talent?
Helmuts: No, I don’t think it is difficult because it works both ways – all the aspiring models want to be top models and they need to build up their portfolio. When you have a portfolio where any model gets visual attention for a next generation aspiring artist – it is a huge plus. And it is especially true with mainstream music as the model will be able to tell everybody: “I took part in this video clip” and will be able to use the name of the artist to improve her brand and market value.
Rick: So, it looks like it works both ways.
Helmuts: Yes, it does. Musicians will help to promote models and models will help them to promote the music. It is exposure both ways, because aspiring models and independent musicians will collide together on different and well established markets.
Rick: Could you give have some tips on copywriting the ads?
Helmuts: I think this is a tough question. The artist and the model have to have a form of an agreement that says that they both can use each other’s product, name and market value to enhance their both positions. If a music video gets on a mainstream music channel, for example MTV, it is a Holy Grail position for both musician and the model.
Rick: Which models do you like working with yourself?
Helmuts: 🙂 I like models that stay close to their own values. The values of “Do” and “Don’t” and by following them they keep their dignity and persona. Look, when a model is doing something she doesn’t want to do – you will always notice it on video.
Rick: What differences and similarities do you think there are their between models and artists?
Helmuts: What they have in-common – both artists and models are aspiring and want to reach the top and they both need exposure in a good way, and they have to sell themselves. And that is the common thing. One and one is three – it is a synergy thing. You can combine 2 different markets to help each other. They don’t conflict each other – they surrender to each other. This is the synergy of two worlds that are trying to mix and contaminate each other’s worlds with exposure.
Rick: What genre of music do you yourself like?
Helmuts: I prefer EDM – Electronic dance music.
Rick: Why EDM?
Helmuts: Why EDM? For me it’s the vibe, it’s the buzz, it is the music, but also it is the music festival, music venue. I’ve been at different music festivals, like Sensation, for example, and the vibe of such a festival is huge, is unique. And every time when you hear that a musician is playing something – automatically you get that vibe, those emotions in your system.
There’s another thing. When you have a music festival like EDM, most of the djs that are playing, sometimes during the playlist are supported by dancers. And I also think this platform is very useful to festival organizers, who can use Lust Jobs for free to advertise that they are looking for dancers for their festivals.
Many models start with Go-Go dancing and then they start moving into modelling. It provides 2 ways for the model to make money – she can model for a photographer or she can go to a festival to dance. She uses her body, she uses her vibe to entertain people.
Rick: What entertains you personally?
Helmuts: Let us be honest 🙂 Speaking as a guy, a pretty woman with a fine body and sense of rhythm always entertains me. For example, when you at a festival, you see a dj in his booth, you listen to the sounds, because that is what he makes. For the eyes – you see only a guy, wearing headphones behind 3 devices that generate the music, you see his hands moving and his head bobbling a little. That’s it. The visual effect has to be brought by lasers, pyrotechnics, but also has to brought by dancers.
Rick: So it appears that an artist can work with lots of pretty ladies and sometimes even free of charge?
Helmuts: Of course. When you are a mainstream artist and you as a model have the opportunity to be with an artist for free or almost for free – you will always have the media’s attention as they are always close at hand. It is exposure. Who is she? What is she doing?
If you got it – flaunt it.
Rick: Some last words?
Helmuts: I would like to invite all the individual JamSphere artists to visit www.LustJobs.com and find many beautiful and talented models for their next videos – we have many models that right now are looking for any chances to build up their name and would love an opportunity to take part in a music video even if there is no budget at all.
Rick: Thank you Helmuts.
Helmuts: Thank you Rick.
