Recording artist and entrepreneur, Patrick O. Ezekiel, better known by his moniker Pat-E, is from Edo state Nigeria. Growing up he listened to a wide spectrum of genres – from Reggae to Pop, Country, and R&B, drawing influences from artists such as Peter Touch and Bob Marley. He joined a choir after high school to enhance his voice, and was also a member of a four-man gospel group called Da voice Devine.
After his diploma in a tertiary institution, he paused his music career to move forward in the cooperate world. In 2014, he started recording jingles which led him to become a recording artist. He then completed a few songs and finally recorded and released his debut single titled “Biggy Biggy”.
Pat-E is an artist committed to raising the bar higher. His focus and determination is drawing major attention from the masses as he continues to build his brand in the Afro Pop world. Pat-E has his sights set on creating his own record label in the near future to help develop and produce fresh talent with bright futures.
In the meantime Pat-E delights us with “Biggy Biggy”. The song is simply beautiful. The melody is easy and smooth, while the beat has that typical infectious Afro rhythm to dance along with in your living room, all alone, or with someone really special too. Which is probably the best way to go.
Pat-E also subtly infuses dancehall and reggae strains into the song, in a way that’s easily palatable to delicate ears. Thank goodness there are still artists, like Pat-E, who also don’t feel it necessary to fill their music with argumentative and swear-word tripe.
There are some entertainers that you can listen to or watch once, and immediately know that they’re going to be a smash hit – and sometimes, this sensation doesn’t rely only their music.
They have the look and sound, as well as natural charisma, and you just know in your gut, there is serious potential for them to become huge. Pat-E has all those qualities embedded into his skillset and persona.
“Biggy Biggy” produced by Eben, flourishes over club-ready beat rich with cracking snares and kicks, plucky synths, and fat basslines. You’ll catch yourself, either tapping your foot or nodding your head side to side from the very first listen to this track.
The music takes you on a very interesting journey – because it is calming, but also very energizing in a positive way, as it captivates the mind, body and soul. Every syllable in Pat-E’s music will resonate through your body leaving you with a wonderful afterglow. This is a man who has mastered the art of conveying his emotions with such clarity through his music.
Pat-E belongs to a select worldwide list of singers and songwriters whose music is ample proof that the well of rich musical wealth is far from dry.
