An old African proverb says, “Alone you can go faster, but together you can go farther”. In January of 2018, Tamara Lloyd, president of T. Vox Sound, LLC, ace vocal producer, and session background singer and song writer, and C.E.O of T. Vox Sound Records, Donyea Goodman, hit producer, writer-composer, Musical Director, and session musician, along with Michael L., jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and producer, decided to get together and form a creative collective.
These three individuals are well known in the industry for their work as artists and producers. They have appeared on various stages and recordings with many great talents in several genres of music. After assessing their individual careers and with the amount of chemistry they shared as friends, it was decided that they would go farther together.
On Valentine’s Day of that same year, Minor Third released their first single, a smooth jazz hit entitled ‘CU2nite’. Within one week this independent project was placed in rotation with KJLH, L.A.’s number one FM station owned by Stevie Wonder and four other smooth jazz radio internet stations and is gaining momentum quickly. The single is the talk of the industry and is a fan favorite.
Under the label of T. Vox Sound Records, look for their inaugural release project by the summer of 2019. Minor Third, a fusion of jazz, gospel, pop, R&B, and many other genres, is a creative collective.
“Hip Bop” is Minor Third’s latest single release. It’s the perfect marriage of Be Bop with a touch of a hip hop groove. Minor Third band members are Michael Loyd (pianist/composer), Donyea Goodman (producer/composer), and Tamara Lloyd (vocalist/lyricist).
