UGP (UnderGround Princes) is an Indian-American hip-hop group consisting of rapper/singer/tabla player Sambrum and rapper/producer/songwriter Rohiit. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, the duo releases music in English, Hindi, and other Indian languages incorporating American and Indian cultural styles.
The group recently released their debut album, Brown Bulls, a 15-track introduction to their styles and production. Since then, they have been releasing multiple music videos and various singles to showcase their lyrical and hard-hitting rhyme abilities, on their way to cementing themselves as powerhouses in the industry.
The duo toured all over India in late 2019/early 2020, spreading their unique sound and blend of cultures to both existing and new fans in their motherland. This experience led to the creation of their Indian project (includes hip-hop in Hindi, English, Telugu, and Kannada), which is set to release late 2021. Music Videos for singles from this upcoming project such as “Unse Baat Karo” and “Sinhaasan” have already been big hits on YouTube, amassing over 250k views and 500k views respectively.
