After the release of his acclaimed self-titled single last year, Mr. Candy Kane is about to release his debut EP, “Bedroom Motion”, in April 2016. In the meantime he has dropped another welcomed single, entitled “My Apology Cypher” featuring Rodney Willz – DFW Big Reece – Streetz and Boss. The track theme deals with relationships, specifically targeting men who do not pay enough attention to their spouses.
Mr. Candy Kane proves he’s no superstar at heart, just an average man doing his thing, his way – one of his motto’s actually reads “taking bedroom music to another level.” On “My Apology Cypher” he is much more serious than most would suspect or be willing to give him credit for, and the features on the track, back him up all the way, with sterling performances.
Mr. Candy Kane digs in deep and keeps it real on this track. Unlike so many these days, he doesn’t waste his time talking about money and cars, but rather talks about real life experiences and what we need to do to keep relationships fervently alive.
The fact that Mr. Candy Kane sounds like no one else in the rap game is a definite advantage; thrown together with an outstanding R&B production, as well as performances that blend together hardcore verses, with a good sense of humor, and some solid introspection, make for a very unique combination. Mr. Candy Kane has a unique voice and a great ability to tell stories. Together with his crew on this one, they make you feel what they want you to feel, be it love, compassion, laughter or whatever.
Mr. Candy Kane doesn’t waste too much time with metaphors – the kind that aren’t entirely obvious the first time you hear them. The message in, “My Apology Cypher”, featuring Rodney Willz – DFW Big Reece – Streetz and Boss, is clear from verse one. Mr. Candy Kane hits it big on this track with a fresh beat, a tight hook, and mesmerizing lyrics.
