Bryce Cordell has released 2 mixed tapes since 2014. “Arrival” was his first project released in 2014, and followed by “Not Close Enough” which was released in 2015. Born and raised in Texas, Bryce Cordell brings his own unique style to the Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B LimeLight.
“With the right team I believe I can go as far as the clouds can take me,” he states. “My past is the fuel to my future.” Currently, working on a new album, Cordell has released the single “Due Time”.
Bryce Cordell displays and amazing vulnerability, word-play skills and versatility. He reminds me of quite a few Trap/RnB artists, but expresses his thoughts on a whole different level. If you know how trash most of our RnB radio stations have been, you will know that “Due Time” is like a gem in the rough.
Cordell is clearly introducing a new genre that’s real and relevant. He raps from the heart and anyone who is in a relationship but have that hint or trace of wanting to repair or make it better, Bryce Cordell will talk to your soul.
The production creates an atmosphere for introspection and laid-back vibes, which allows Cordell to shine with his intensely soulful, but relaxed conversational flow. The slow burning, mellow beat is matched with head-nodding drums as Cordell displays his lyrical depth. At his best, Cordell is emo in a good way – an honest and emotional millennial whose lyrics stroke the soul.
“Due Time” works on a number of levels. Whether it’s a turn up moment or being all up in the feels, the song resonates for a specific occasion. For hopeless romantics this is also their soundtrack. This is a candid track that sounds more like a freestyle Bryce Cordell let off in the booth, and indicative of his honest mindset as a whole on this project.
He certainly is getting ready to be crowned king, and he’s already proving himself as a likely heir.
