Anji Kaizen, alt-pop princess of Atlanta GA, has a whole new vibe for 2021: mermaid hair, a home recording studio, Twitch affiliate status and a complete rebrand! Get a sneak peek of what’s to come from the artist and listen to the songs that launched her into the Atlanta scene.
“Like a lot of people, my job situation fell apart during Covid, so I moved back in with my family and decided to go full-time with my artistry” she says, laughing: “it was absolutely terrifying! But it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
With all of her focus going into her music, she has landed a partnership with a UK management company, and is looking forward to releasing a new string of singles throughout the rest of 2021. “There are a lot of cool things happening behind the scenes right now – no spoilers, but I’m getting offers to collaborate with artists all over the world through my new management team, and I spent all of the winter recording 20 demos of brand-new songs,” she says, adding that there will be teasers of some of the unreleased songs & demos for her fans available soon on her newly updated website.
“On top of all that, the band and I are in a new practice space, and musically moving in a new direction…. Think electronic pop-punk, like Chvrches meets Jon Bellion at a Paramore show. We’re really embracing the experimental aspects of the alternative pop genre now, it’s super exciting. I honestly can’t wait to get back in the studio now that we’ve all gotten our vaccines.” To keep up with the artist and her new releases, check out her website www.anjikaizen.com and you can follow her on social media @anjikaizen
