TIME KILLAZ, The Timeless Concept Album by ILLUMINATI CONGO

The first time I listened to TIME KILLAZ was on a mini road trip with my roommate and a couch surfer that was staying with us. My roommate has a very different taste in music and he was still extremely impressed by this album with his favorite being “Sacrament” which is about the sacredness of all things in existence. The couch surfer sitting in the back was in absolute awe and kept commenting on how much he loved our taste in music.

He wound up laying down in the back, arising after the album was over to let us know he had to meditate upon the concepts that were presented. The power of this album is not to be underestimated as it most certainly gave him a cathartic psychedelic experience without even needing to partake in anything.

This album is truly for everyone! Whether you are a psychedelic soul, a hardcore occultist/esoteric or even just a layman. What is presented in this album is easily digestible by anyone who appreciates good music with hard hitting beats and even harder hitting lyrics with a soulful message.

Not only is the music on top of its game but the cover art is breathtaking featuring a picture of Kali Maa done by an incredible street graffiti artist who goes by the name Slang. The album is said to be an offering from and to Kali Maa depicting her as the true Time Killa.

The album features a handful of other incredible artists such as Zion I, Vic Spencer, Shabazz Palaces, Akbar, Perfect Giddimani, Illidwilliams, John Robinson, and M.I.C ( Made in Chicago). Every single one of them came correct leaving nothing but there very best on this album.

While every track on this album deserves to be listened to more than once, the most notable tracks to watch out for are “Black Red Gold and Green”, “Sacrament”, “Ignobliss”, “Vortex” and “Ancestral Life”. This album is pushing sacred sounds through your speakers and playing a huge part in reminding people of the nature of timelessness.

It is truly an honor to listen to such potent music in a world full of incessant time keeping. Congo’s music once again asks me to step into a greater version of myself and the timing of its release couldn’t be more perfect.

Now of course I am a fan on Congo and psychedelic hip hop in general, but I say this with the least bias as possible this album is 5 out of 5 stars and 10 out 10 points. It is 100 percent worth a listen to along with all the other greats works that he dropped this year.
