We got a chance to ask Arella Devorah a few questions, to get to know her, and get advice for other fellow inspiring musical artists out there.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I think the most important thing is to surround yourself with people who support you and share similar dreams as you. Get rid of any people or things that distract you from your goals, and make room for people who will help you get there.

Always feel out social situations to see if those people who you call “your friends” truly want to see you succeed. Oftentimes, people we think are our friends want us to fall, as they may secretly be trying to compete with you. So just becoming aware of who genuinely wants the best for you, is very important.

What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next five to 10 years?

I just want to continue having a great supportive team around me, those who genuinely care about you as a person and want to build a strong relationship. I’m not a fan of the “business only” type of mentality, I want people around me who truly care. I want to continue performing, creating music and art, win Grammys, and travel all around the world.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

Yes, I love photography and just being creative in different types of art in general. Drawing, painting, pottery, or any new type of art makes me super excited. I could just keep creating all day non-stop.

What strengths do you believe make a great musician?

It is one thing to have talent, but I believe perseverance and boldness are crucial characteristics. You have to be willing to take risks, trust uncertainty, and give up everything that comes in the way of your vision.
