Savannah Nider was born and raised in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She grew up passionate about family, sports, speech, and music. At 15, Savannah was given the opportunity to work alongside Geno LeSage, Steve Cox, and Kenny Royster who were involved in the careers of Grammy award-winning artists including Collin Raye and many others. After losing her grandmother to pancreatic cancer, completing college, and getting married, Savannah moved to Nashville to fulfill the promise of a music career. She met Joie Scott, a well-known songwriter in Nashville, who influenced Savannah’s songwriting ability and co-wrote her first song “Until Always,” which she performed at her own wedding. She was also introduced to Bryan Cole, a talented producer out of Pittsburgh, PA who produced her EP with Grammy Award winner Steve Marcantonio.
Currently Savannah is promoting her new single, “We Are Us”. I listened to the first few seconds of the track, and was immediately sold. You hear the range of emotions Savannah can display with such a captivating voice that you’re in tune to this song right off the bat. If you enjoy country and pop music, then you will love this recording.
“We Are Us” is different from her previous work. This difference isn’t in the emotion, meaningful lyrics, or integrity, but maturity. The latest single shows Savannah’s growth as a young woman and an artist, while retaining the spark and individuality that sets her apart in the industry.
“We Are Us” is honest and raw at heart, ambitious in sound, and its honesty is sure to connect with fans on a deeper level. The track brings empowerment and partner-power with a strong pop influence, while still retaining a rich country flair.
It showcases Savannah’s stunning vocals and songwriting skills, and will most likely broaden her audience. The relatable lyrics and captivating music will keep the listener intrigued. The focused production on the track is equally engaging and, as a result, will help propel Savannah’s ascent as a powerhouse in the country genre.
It’s an interesting time in country music, where female artists have been working hard to break through with hits on a consistent basis. And there is no reason why an under-the-radar artist like Savannah cannot rock the mainstream boat. “We Are Us” blends a surging melody, and an insistent rhythm, with a radio-friendly country-pop sheen that has, and continues to be, the bedrock of genre’s vast commercial success.
In essence, “We Are Us” is a powerful track that fans will appreciate, and showcases all that they have come to expect from Savannah: heartfelt vocals, powerful lyrics, and fearless individuality in the country music genre. This track deserves all the praise and press. Here’s hoping mainstream country radio doesn’t decide to bypass Savannah, it wouldn’t be a wise decision.
