GMTA are two guys from the Netherlands, or more specifically, Brabant, found in the south of the country. They love music, making fun of names and talk about things and stuff. They also like cats (or at least one of them does more than the other) and drink sugar out of a silver & blue can which is known to make you fly.
When their minds think alike, they make music that can be anything, from pop to classic to electro. “Evol” is a track taken from their EP “Tall Tales”. GMTA decided to make a time-lapse video to accompany the song, which they have released via YouTube on March 19th.
The songwriting on “Evol” is superb, and the song captivates you more and more as you listen to it. The sweeping emotional landscape, the introspective lyrics, the jarring synth sounds and the compelling vocals, all grab you by the throat and never let go.
“Evol” is a great listen for the casual-fan of electronic music as well as the committed follower of synthwave, darkwave and the glorious sounds of bands like Depeche Mode. They created a work of real beauty that has soul and passion. The music gives the song gravitas while the vocals fill the spaces with captivating atmosphere and dynamic prominence. The whole project works really well for GMTA.
