IJK: “Dancing Shadows” is aimed to shakes things up!

“Dancing Shadows” is the latest single by Dubai based rock artist, IJK (Imad Jack Karam). The track released on June 12th 2017 was produced in London and is supported by a video clip available for viewing on YouTube. IJK is a one-man army in the musical field. His style is neo-retro, mixed with ’80s guitar riffs, and edgy modern electronic, his songs are highly polished, perfectly produced tracks that defy age or genre.

There is something to be said for IJK’s mix of styles, smooth vocals, and refusal to make bland, generic, contemporary music. His tracks are like a bag of pick and mix: full of variety, sweet to taste, and will make listeners remember the golden age of radio rock with fondness. On top of it, “Dancing Shadows” is both radio and club friendly and will make people want to dance. The guitar riffs will please the Rock fans, while the Pop fans will love IJK’s distinctive voice.

Rock is making a much due comeback to mainstream. Although, many may consider IJK alternative rock, “Dancing Shadows” is fun, entertaining and most of all a rocking pop sensible track! From the outset, it is clear that IJK aimed to shakes things up on this recording, which bursts with an incandescent vitality.

From the very first bar a Middle Eastern artist soon finds himself slipping on what sounds like his most comfortable shoes following a catchy and memorable stroll down this soundtrack’s pop-rock avenue.

Recorded and Produced by Peter Larsen at Peter Larsen Studio London, UK, “Dancing Shadows” needs no introduction, with its immediate riff, thumping bass, and chorus hook. It is an emotional, raw, yet polished and genuine piece of music, and a fine example of the musical talent to be found in the Middle Eastern region, often obscure to us.

The lyrics of the song emphasize the importance of putting worries aside and dancing with life, and IJK makes it all believable and work, with a retrofitted groove that could easily be mistaken for an early INXS styled hit – if only for the crunchy guitar riffs that add perfect power pop aggression to the track.  If you want to hear the depth of IJK‘s musical inspiration, this should be your next purchase
