Sirpit is an Australian-based artist that who delves in the genres of Hip-Hop, Soul, Rap and Dancehall. A music fan from a young age, he has dedicated time to his craft whilst studying, being inspired and working with some wonderful local producers, record labels and studios such as Fireside Entertainment, Soul Sound Studios and Crank Studios. Influenced by such artists as Kanye West and Lil Wayne, which is often reflected and heard in the tracks he produces. Sirpit embraces the slogan, Support The Movement by respecting the talent.
“Pop It”, produced by Go Grizzly X Hood Famous, is the first single from Sirpit’s debut mixtape “Start Of The Empire”. The beat is unique and his flow is truly different compared to what’s out there these days, which in my opinion should be respected no matter what you are into.
The style that Sirpit takes on this single, may have been invented by Kanye West, Fetty Wap and Kid Cudi and shared by A$AP Rocky and other advancers of acid/cloud rap, but thanks to the timing of his arrival, Sirpit hasn’t really missed the boat at all. “Pop It” is everything his fans have probably been waiting for and then some. This Australian rapper is curiously artistic and very stylish indeed.
Girls, booty and twerking bring out the inner creative in Sirpit. “Pop It” is literally a sexual innuendo word-party in and of itself. Sirpit’s experimental personality plus his interesting character, work in tandem to make a very memorable, symbolic and alternative-sounding experience.
This track is easily loved because it is understandable regardless of the beat, the words, or the pictures presented. How can you not have the imagery imprinted in your brain, of someone “bending over and popping it like Nicki…while she gets lucky?” A certified banger!
No doubt, “Pop It” is a solid jam! You can listen to this every single day going to work or school, and it will always put you in a club mood, and you could so easily find yourself singing and dancing along. The chorus hook will be on repeat in your head for days on end. It’s real addicting, while the Production is solid and goes perfectly with Sirpit’s lyrical flow.
