USRE has set out to change the face of EDM with Texas flair, celebrating his roots in the UNT Jazz Program. His big house melodic style embraces popular and hip hop music of the last decade, with a nod to the forerunners of the genre: Afrojack, Hardwell, Dyro, and Zedd. Bearing the famed Fort Worth “Molly” Longhorn resemblance in his logo, USRE has already found national and international air play with a few of his themed mixes for the summer, including “Special Reserve,” “100% Agave,” “Dark Horse,” and “Churchtastic.”
So for people who aren’t familiar with USRE, I think his will be a unique listening experience and super fun. No matter how upset or hectic your mood may be , as soon as you play USRE your mood will change. You’ll feel happy, energetic, and ready to go. Especially if you kick with “Dark Horse”. This track has a little of everything. A cool electro, progressive and dubstep vibe with great vocals that will definitely get you jumping!
But it doesn’t stop there. “Churchtastic” kicks the bar even higher as does “Special Reserve”. These progressive tracks, pack more energy than a steam train out of control. All round though, USRE simply electrifies with his newest tunes. The vocal selections on all tracks are mesmerizing while he brings his storm of beats throughout. I was also surprised to hear the variety of EDM on his collection of tracks.
I particularly enjoyed the Big Room Melodic house mix USRE is currently working on -thirty-five minutes of unbridled ecstasy for dance floor fanatics, that is pretty hard to resist. USRE is one of the few indie artists currently making quality EDM music. His progressive tracks are some of the best and most melodic around and he’s not afraid to crank out a few bangers either. In a universe of rubbish that is coming out these days, USRE’s tracks sound like complete gems.
I found all of the songs addictive due to their infectious hooks. USRE’s music and mixes is an expression, a form, a vision, a standing on center stage and doing his thing, kind of feel. Keeping his momentum at this rate USRE can expect to expand his market, his music, and his vision even further.
Overall I was very impressed with the quality of music being put out, and the wonderful blend of strong vocals and ripping electronics that come together in perfect harmony! USRE’s music is perfect to introduce or convert non-electronica listeners. He never gets repetitive, and you’re always guaranteed a good time!
