PIF Legends Volume 1 is a tribute to Hip Hop Legends. It features samples for the icons that have influenced hip hop as we know it. From RunDMC to Nas, Snoop, Slick Rick, Biggie, 2Pac, Eminem and Ice Cube to Jay-Z, Sho Tunez has produced a collection of superb nostalgic tracks on the Monsta Music LLC label.
Sho, Born in Boston, started rapping in elementary school. It wasn’t until his senior year in high school that he released his first project, Round Hill mixtape Vol.1. The following year, Sho put out two more Round Hill mix tapes before he released the Sho mixtape. Finding it hard to obtain the sound he was looking for, ShoTunez started creating original beats. He launched Pure Instrumental Fire Productions, better known as PIF Productions.
Besides producing beats for himself, Prophecy, JTypical, Bayholla, Pop A Lot, up-an-coming Latin superstar Jove, and many more, Sho has produced and sold original beats to artists in over five states and has performed under Monsta Music LLC all over Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Florida with artists such as Bayholla, Prophecy, JTypical and State Property. Over the last year-and-a-half Sho has been touring his “PIF Produce” Album, which is an album dedicated to the marijuana activists. He has performed at hemp fests in Wisconsin, Maine, and Florida, as well as having done charity work with the JRA Foundation (Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis) in Central Florida, producing 3 songs for a fundraiser CD, “Making Music Matter”, which received praise from President Obama.
His new mixtape, PIF Legends Volume 1, which was released June 20th, 2013 to rave reviews, reads like a list of who’s who in Hiphop. Sixteen tracks for just under an hour of classic hiphop sounds with a special touch is what Sho Tunez puts on offer here.
