Sweden born singer, songwriter and radio host, Mirva, has garnered a great deal of praise for her sensitive style, fresh sound and great will to make a difference in the world. In 2006, she created history with her debut release, “We’re Here Now” by becoming the first artist ever to release an eco-friendly album in Sweden.
Following a brief hiatus, Mirva has returned to making music with a new confidence that gives her music a completely new vibe. Recorded in her new hometown of Sydney, Australia, the EP “One” was produced by ARIA award-winning producer Braddon Williams (The Script, Beyonce, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian).
Sydney-based Mirva has also published her first book, ‘The Art of Soulful Living’, in which she shares her secrets to staying motivated, using creativity to overcome life’s challenges and how to create the life you want to live. In ‘The Art of Soulful Living’, Mirva shares not only her own experience of overcoming depression, but offers effective tools for using creativity and a positive mindset to manage life’s challenges, which explains why it has already gained landslide pre-launch sales.
“One” is five immaculate adult-orientated pop gems, each song worthy in its own right, but also working perfectly to achieve the kind of unified tone and texture that more artists should strive for. When you first listen to this Ep, you’ll be immediately struck by how good these songs are. And I mean how really good, ALL of them are.
In an age when the typical Ep or album has fifty percent filler or more, it’s refreshing to encounter a recording that you can listen to from start to finish, with no thought or need for skipping around tracks. The title track “One” is beautifully crafted and perfectly paced, and in terms of pure artistry it is miles ahead of most of the competition…country, pop, alternative, R&B, or otherwise!

Mirva’s vocals on this 5-track Ep are a wonder and a marvel to behold. Her crystalline voice soars from beautiful delicate lows to thunderous highs with ease and authority. She proves that she is not just a technically-proficient vocalist but one who has soul and tremendous empathy with her material. Mirva is commanding, compelling and in full control, and her new-found confidence is an aural joy to witness. She stays emotionally connected with her songs all the way through.
With this release, Mirva has set a high bar not only for herself but for all of her contemporaries as well. I obviously won’t choose any highlights, because for me, they all are. From the aforementioned “One” to “Parachute”, “Bring Me Closer”, “This Is How We Stand” and finally “I Am The Sun”, this album will appeal to everybody because it is very accessible to your average pop music lover. Every single song has a meaning and every single song has ‘wide-appeal’ potential.
Besides the wonderfully performed and produced music, this lady also has a positive attitude and should be a true inspiration to everyone. She knows exactly who she is and what she wants to be. “One” is great contemporary pop with meaningful lyrics that many people will relate to. I would totally recommend Mirva to any pop music fan!
