Delirium Cordia is a Mexican-Danish Industrial Metal band. Originally formed and founded by Joffre O. Videz in 2007 in Mexico City. After 5 years of experimenting with different instrumental compositions, it became clear to Joffre that Delirium Cordia needed a lead singer. As destiny would have it, Danish vocalist Ivan Stenger (Colliding With The Aliens, Skin Tuxedo) listened to Delirium Cordia on the ReverbNation band page. He got very interested in the music so he contacted Joffre O. Videz offering to sing on the tracks. They decided to start the collaboration over the internet exchanging music files and ideas. The chemistry was good and within 4 months they had created a full length album ready for sale. The 2 band members have never even met in person.
Mother Of All Sorrow is the 14-track album released by Delirium Cordia. There is no pretense on this album, no “look how well I play”, no “listen to my wonderful voice”, it is just complete and utter oblivion; majestically crushing, and unrepentantly dark and morose. This is a truly unique and self-dissolving piece of aural art. You completely lose yourself into it.
Not to mention, it kicks ass too! Mother Of All Sorrow is not recommended for people who don’t appreciate crushing, dark music, but those who do will love it! It is both aggressive and soothing at the same time.
Delirium Cordia take the basic mechanisms of death metal, industrial and psychedelia and tear it apart; only to reassemble the collected elements in a completely new fashion. I believe this album is a perfect expression of their peculiar art, in that it is experimental, and the melodies and rhythms used are expressive and atmospheric at the same time.
Every one of these songs is just simply breathtaking. Listen to a whole new way of looking at heavy music being invented right here. Yes, it is crushing, brutal, aggressive and angry – but it is also flowing, lyrical, multi-layered, dense, expansive, and deeply soothing. Delirium Cordia is simply a creative force to be reckoned with!

Mother Of All Sorrow rises above the majestic wasteland it portrays with a will to survival, hidden deep within the symbolism of its abrasive songs which are full of feeling. It is industrial and nu-metal with an understated technical edge and a raging emotionality to its passionate exclamations.
The beautiful octave voices, harmonizing and grinding guitar textures move to reveal a landscape of ideas and emotions. Percussion and drum patterns storm in sounding like a device for genocidal warfare. Discerning listeners will appreciate the vocals, which carry tone and texture and yet are aggressive and precise. While this album straddles the space between nu-metal and industrial with hints of progressive metal, its call to continual listening is the impassioned raw spirit with which Joffre O. Videz and Ivan Stenger express their world.
Standout tracks abound, like: “Industrial”, “The Estranged”, “Replaceable”, “Pessimists”, “Release The Dogs” and “Take This To The Grave”. But the heavy riffs and ability to take a few notes and instill them with power and emotion make all the performances above-par powerhouse tracks.
If you would like to explore Delirium Cordia, but have not heard them yet, then Mother Of All Sorrow and a good sound system, on very high volume is recommended!
