I grew up in the desert just trying to survive, I never had the silver spoon and I’m alright with that but I express myself through the music because it’s the only way I know how. The Waiting Room signifies a point in life where I was completely stagnated. All the music made was so scattered and transitional, so I had to toss it all away. Once I was able to focus, I sat down with Obvi and Smirk Vega and we mapped out “The Waiting Room EP” completely produced by them and then mastered by Mr. Vaughan Woolsey. I hope everyone enjoys it I put my heart and soul into it expressing my life and trials of being stuck in “The Waiting Room EP’- AshD
“The Waiting Room EP” is nothing short of amazing. AshD’s flows actually ride the beats differently and perfectly on each song. His lyrics are great, both in content and in the way he rhymes his syllables, but it never gets too far into any absurdities. AshD switches up with a number of different flows, pulling inspiration from the likes of even Bone Thugs n Harmony, Eminem and the Wu Tang Clan.
There is not a bad song on this Ep. From the honest lyrics in “The Waiting Room” to the melodic “Music Grows On Trees ft. Castro”, to the catchy “Listen ft. Smirk Vega”, to the heartfelt “Stay/Go ft. Smirk Vega”, to the laid back “Chasing Visions” and to the fantastic rhyming skills he shows in songs like “Jameson & Ginger” and “Feel Better”, AshD shows why he is one of the smartest upcoming rappers.
If you are a fan of rap music you will love this album. If you are not a fan of rap music you will still enjoy this album. There is something on it for everyone. Every last track is worthy of listening to from beginning to end, and not too many can say that about a lot of albums today; the lyrics, the production, everything about this Ep is just right. Listening to “The Waiting Room”, you can see how AshD reached out to the fans, showing what was going through. This is what makes the Ep even more deep and enjoyable, the fact that he lets the listeners into his state-of-being.

As far as production goes, this is an Ep where AshD uses the expertise of producers Obvi and Smirk Vega; proving that he can compose great verses and deliver on pretty much any beat. Like I said in the beginning, words can’t even explain how great this album is. The best I can say to anyone is to just grab a copy and listen for yourself. No free downloads or anything like that. Purchase the Ep. You can even name your own price, and support quality music. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed by this one at all.
Besides all of the qualities on this Ep, its AshD’s lyrical content and delivery, that propels him to greater heights. “The Waiting Room” could quite easily be the beginning of a new, inspired success for AshD!
