Film Producer & Author Matthew C Martino told Brentwood Gazette in an interview ‘I’m gutted I’ll never make it as a rapper’. Martino who featured on pal Slick Suave’s single ‘Flight Crew’ is thought to have initially had plans of forming a career in the music industry.
A critic dubbed Martino’s rapping ability as ‘horrendous’ and CelebSpy called his performance on Sky Living’s show ‘Sing Date’ in 2012 desperate. The 21year old has spoken of the genuine love he had for the industry.
Martino hasn’t completely closed the door on his music life as he still regularly joins many of his rapper friends in the studio to watch and he also works as rapper Ki Faro’s PR Manager but we are sure he makes a vocal cameo on some tracks.
The AllStar film producer although, told Brentwood Gazette that he was ‘glad with his choice’ to enter the film industry as music is now more and more ‘challenging’.
Martino will get the opportunity to rekindle his love with the mic as he is in talks with various theatres including Ambassadors Theatre to develop a musical and sources close to the 21-year old have said he will aim to give himself a substantial role if it goes forward.
