Artist, writer and producer is usually an overstatement, but that’s not the case when it comes to the Toronto born talent Jesse Burke. With a technical and musical background, he has managed to create a style of his own. Jesse’s song writing ability has brought original songs to the table that this music industry not only needs, but has been waiting for. With strong hooks, electronic appeal and live melodic instrumentation, the music is sure to speak for itself.

Jesse has been working in the music business for over 10 years now, writing and producing for major and lesser known artists, in multiple genres. Raised in a musical environment, his father was a well-known jazz musician who bought him his first instrument at the age of three.

Jesse began to learn the drums, which immediately followed with the piano, guitar, bass and finally some vocal lessons. Jesse took these musical skill sets; combined them with his powerful song writing ability, stage presence and created music aimed toward production values similar to Pharrell Williams, Timberland, Ryan Leslie and Dr Dre.

Between the age of 19 to 20 years old, Jesse spent several months in New York and Los Angeles song writing with many artists. He recorded 2 singles at Santana’s studio (Hollywood) in 2005. These songs were entered into an industry writing pool and quickly caught him the attention of major labels such as Polygram (UK) and Epic Records (US).

When he returned home to work on his own project he quickly connected with the Boomtang Boys and Whitey Don (Jive Records) to release his first single “Summer Vibes” that reached TOP 20 on both CHR and HOT AC radio formats across Canada. This resulted in a nomination at the Canadian Radio Music Awards in 2006. With no label backing but under the management of Norman Sharpe (Wide Mouth Mason) he would soon grab the attention of many new fans throughout Canada.

There is a lot to be said about an artist with an amazing ear, musical background and clever wordplay. It’s a rare thing to not only be able to write and perform his own music but also know his way around the studio. This gives Jesse Burke the ability to produce the exact sound and style he is aiming for.
