Charlie Terenzio: “All Your Roses” is transporting, earthy acoustic and electric rock sounds!

Charlie Terenzio is a Boston area composer and has been playing music since age 10. Charlie works from his home studio using Apple Pro Logic. One of his releases is the track entitled, “All Your Roses”. This is one of those tracks that has to be heard at least 7, 8 times before it “sinks in”, so to speak, as it does not have a dominant lead melody, but is rather built around chord progressions, texture and tone, distributed predominantly by Charlie Terenzio’s guitar and some ominous strings.

Aside from the very creative arrangement and fresh style of the music (which relies heavily on both acoustic and electric guitar sounds), one aspect of the music that I enjoy is what I perceive to be interplay between the very earthy electric rock sounds with more futuristic synthetic sounds. Amid the programmed, sampled or sequenced rhythms, Terenzio’s soaring and lamenting guitars shine imperious, saying so much more than mere words can.

The blend and beat of the music is done flawlessly. The eruption of this amazing sound is complex, yet simple and beautiful at the same time. Seems like a far statement to say, but if you heard the track, you would probably agree. The music in “All Your Roses”, which starts off pretty smoothly, builds toward a gigantic climax of churning guitars, soaring strings, and what I think are horns – where it feels as if you are swiftly being driven through a massive time-warp into the unknown.

Charlie Terenzio’s music is so eclectic and therefore very unpredictable, as he changes styles and sound from one track to another. I ran through his online catalog, that’s why I know! He sounds like a mix between Enigma and Mike Oldfield with his signature guitar style entwined throughout his tracks. Overall, “All Your Roses” is transporting, evocative music that inspires thoughts and feelings about ourselves and our relationship with others.
