Consider this for openers. The Cadillac Blues Band’s live performances includes their signature bright red, 1962 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE, parked out front. So right from the start you know we’re talking authentic vintage blues and rock.
The CADILLAC BLUES BAND TX , which was formed in 2008, has a line-up that includes Rick Cloutier, Keith Donnagan, Bob Powell and Arron the Irish love god! The band members total over 44 years of music experiences. Based in a small town just north of Houston, they also have a strong home town following in south east Texas. From south Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe as well as Huntsville.
The CADILLAC BLUES BAND TX play a wide range of cover versions and original material while gigging around the map. Having four vocalists increase their versatility, allowing the band to perform songs from many artists, such as; Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, JJ Cale, The Beatles, Elvis, BB King, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Dwite Yokum, ACDC, Muddy Waters, Elmore James and many more.
The band are currently recording at Sugar Hill Studios in Houston, where they have 14 original songs in the works and are looking at an album release in early 2013.

The CADILLAC BLUES BAND TX have already made some original songs available on their website. Three of which are currently on rotation at the popular indie music station, Jamsphere Rock Radio. Namely, “Joes In The Hooskow,” “Two Beers And A Bottle Of Wine” and the latest acoustic ballad, “Words.” This is an unpretentious and beautiful song without all the fanfare. The words are simple, yet deeply moving and powerful. Listen to this song carefully and it will definitely touch your heart.
The band’s most famous original composition to date, is of course the driving rock number, “Red Cadillac.”
One thing to be mentioned is how versatile a band like the CADILLAC BLUES BAND TX are. Take a listen and watch their videos, and you’ll see that they are mainly a group that like to have fun both with their lyrics and with the way they perform. Their live version of ZZ Top’s “La Grange” paints a vivid picture of the band mates on the stage, having fun entertaining the crowd.
They have a personality all their own. And they know how to put some heartfelt emotions into their music too. “Two Beers And A Bottle Of Wine” and “Words” are both inspirational songs that are good to listen to no matter what mood you’re in, where you’re at, or what you’re doing.
It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to hear more CADILLAC BLUES BAND TX songs on mainstream radio, when the new album is released. As their music is made to entertain. But until then, in the meantime you can catch them at their website or if you’re really lucky, maybe live, in a town near you.
Just keep a lookout for their signature bright red, 1962 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE, parked out front!
