YoBNASH: “To Be Honest (TBH)” – very focused, determined and charismatic!

YoBNASH is a 21, rapper from Tampa Bay Florida, originally born in Ohio, who has been taking music seriously now for about 2 years. He just recently dropped his latest track, entitled, “To Be Honest (TBH)”. Hip-hop enthusiasts must be encouraged by the influx of new talent streaming in. Tampa rapper YoBNASH, is making a strong push toward the front of the line with this new release.

One thing “To Be Honest (TBH)” does not do is try to be intellectual. In strong contrast to recent predicated releases, delivering sociopolitical messages or albums with strong thematic elements, YoBNASH’s record doesn’t make an effort to be lyrically deep. He is just laying down some of his own mind-driven concepts, thoughts and experiences. However, what “To Be Honest (TBH)”does do is display YoBNASH’s boundless skill as a rapper. His delivery is resounding, forceful and clear; he is able to spit his rhymes with great rhythm and flow. And as mentioned previously, the lyrics were not designed to be the most inventive of all time, but the track succeeds not due to the subject matter, but because of how YoBNASH presents himself.

He comes across as very focused, determined, and charismatic. The beat is also great and banging; it sets the track on its way and lets YoBNASH do his job distinctively enough to give a tangible coloring to the track. His penchant for being rich, fashion conscious and trendy, comes to full fruition here.

“To Be Honest (TBH)” sounds like it could be played at a club, without sounding specifically tailor made for that type of environment. He shows a great deal of creative potential, demonstrating that he can spit fast while mixing it up with a slew of effects and synths, and he often comes out on top. All-round YoBNASH possesses a great command of his flow, while doing a supreme job of establishing a sense of personality.

His talent, shown on this track, isn’t in the storytelling or lyrical skills. It’s in his flow, the way the words just come out, the way riding the beat makes you feel and nod your head. Half the time it doesn’t even matter what he says because you are caught up in the mood YoBNASH is creating!
